Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Hi English Quiz collects, why, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect what we need to run your quizzes and estimate your level, and we never sell your personal data.

1. What we collect

Account data — display name, email, password (stored hashed), and your chosen language.
Learning activity — your answers, ability score history, streaks, hearts, and mistakes (so you can review them).
Device data — browser type, rough location (country), and usage events, to keep the Service fast and secure.

2. How we use it

To run the Service: grade your answers, update your ability score, schedule the Daily Quiz for your band, and show your progress. To improve it: we analyse which questions are too easy, too hard, or ambiguous. On leaderboards, only your display name and band are visible to others.

3. What we share

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — hosting, analytics, payment processing, and (on the free plan) advertising partners — under contracts that limit what they can do with it, or when the law requires.

4. Advertising

The free plan is supported by ads, including the optional rewarded ads that refill hearts. Ad partners may use cookies or similar identifiers — see our Cookie Policy. Premium removes ads entirely.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days; anonymised question statistics (with no link to you) may be kept to improve the question bank.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time — most of it directly from your profile, or by emailing info@hienglishquiz.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR or similar laws.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, we will delete it.

8. Changes and contact
