A wrong answer in a Question Set or Vocabulary session costs one heart. Hearts refill over time, and you can also watch a short ad for a bonus. The Daily Quiz and mistake practice never cost a heart — practice those anytime, as much as you like.

Your ability score updates from your real answers and maps to a CEFR band (A1–C2) with a sub-level (e.g. A2+). It's the same score across Grammar and Vocabulary, so your level always reflects how you're actually doing — never a fixed percentage or XP count.

A mistake is marked fixed once you answer it correctly twice in a row during practice. Fixed mistakes move to your Fixed archive — if you get one wrong again later, it reopens and goes back to your open list.
